KOMBAT Global Announces Strategic Partnership to Transform KF Arena Into Cambodia's New Cultural Fight Destination
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — October 18, 2026 — Kombat Global Corporation, operator of the world's largest professional Taekwondo league, with over 1,200 licensed clubs across 121 participating countries, has announced a partnership with French-Cambodian promoter Mr. Sov Men to expand KF Arena Championships into a professional combat sports and cultural entertainment attraction in Phnom Penh.
KF Arena Enters a New Chapter as KOMBAT Fight Arena

KF Arena Championships was originally established by Mr. Sov Men under the name Khmer Flow Arena and held its inaugural event in June 2026.
KOMBAT Global President Rick W. Shin and Chief Executive Officer George C. Hristescu personally attended the inaugural championship and recognized its potential for further development.
Following discussions with Mr. Sov Men, both parties established a partnership to combine KF Arena's local presence with KOMBAT's international experience and resources.
As part of the partnership, both parties agreed to preserve the established KF Arena name while introducing a new meaning behind its initials. Previously representing Khmer Flow Arena, KF Arena will now stand for KOMBAT Fight Arena.
The transition reflects the evolution of KF Arena under the partnership rather than the creation of a new championship. Mr. Sov Men will continue contributing his local expertise and established relationships, while KOMBAT Global will support the championship's growth through international promotion, event production and professional combat sports management.
Together, the partners aim to build upon KF Arena's original foundation while developing it into a recurring professional Kun Khmer and cultural entertainment attraction in Phnom Penh.
Next Championship Set for November 13 at Aquation Theatre
The next KF Arena Championships is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2026, at Aquation Theatre in Phnom Penh, taking place ahead of the 20th Francophonie Summit.
As Cambodia prepares to welcome international delegates and visitors, the championship will showcase professional Kun Khmer competition alongside traditional Cambodian cultural performances and entertainment.
The event presents an opportunity to introduce Cambodia's martial arts heritage to international audiences during one of the country's major international gatherings.
More Than Fighting: Celebrating Cambodian Culture and Heritage
KOMBAT Fight Arena is envisioned as more than a professional fighting championship. The events will combine live Kun Khmer competitions with traditional Cambodian performances and cultural entertainment, creating an experience for local audiences and international visitors.
The partnership aims to establish KF Arena as a recognizable entertainment attraction in Phnom Penh while promoting Cambodia's rich martial arts heritage.
The organizers initially plan to hold monthly championships, with the possibility of expanding to twice-monthly events as attendance and commercial performance grow.
KOMBAT's Vision for KF Arena
Rick W. Shin, President of Kombat Global Corporation, stated:
"CEO George Hristescu and I attended the inaugural KF Arena Championships in June and immediately recognized its potential. Mr. Sov Men has established a strong foundation, and we believe our international experience and resources can help take KF Arena to the next level.
Our vision extends beyond professional fighting. We want to create an attraction that celebrates Cambodian culture, traditions and Kun Khmer while providing greater opportunities for local fighters.
We believe KF Arena can become a recognized entertainment destination for Cambodian audiences and international visitors, while helping introduce Kun Khmer to more people around the world."
Building on Mr. Sov Men's Vision

For Mr. Sov Men, the partnership represents an important milestone following years of developing Cambodia's combat sports and cultural entertainment community through initiatives including The Ring, Khmer Flow and KF Arena.
Announcing the partnership publicly, Mr. Sov Men described the collaboration as the realization of a long-standing ambition:
"To make our culture shine internationally and transform Cambodia into a real destination for martial arts."
His vision closely aligns with KOMBAT's commitment to promoting Kun Khmer internationally and building sustainable opportunities for professional fighters.
The partnership brings together Mr. Sov Men's local experience in event organization, fighter recruitment and sponsorship development with KOMBAT's international expertise in professional combat sports management, event production, marketing and global promotion.
Together, the partners intend to develop KF Arena into a sustainable championship series while preserving its Cambodian roots and expanding its international reach.
KF Arena Championships will also complement KOMBAT's larger international events by providing regular competition opportunities for emerging professional fighters.
