Kombat Global Recognizes Kun Khmer as Muay Thai’s Origin, Announces Brazil Event

Mr. President Rick W. Shin, President of the Kombat Global organization, acknowledged the long-standing history of the Khmer ancestral martial arts. He stated that “Kun Khmer” is the father of Thailand’s martial art (Muay Thai), and that the organization will also cooperate with Cambodia to organize the first-ever Kombat Kun Khmer competition in São Paulo, Brazil, on June 5, 2026.
